This is a link to the current (2022) resolution containing this ballot language:
"A constitutional amendment to provide that, beginning January 1, 23 2024, no taxes other than retail consumption taxes and excise taxes shall be imposed upon the people of Nebraska."
This is a link to the implementation bill that details how our proposal would work. On page 7 it states a rate of 10.64%. The bill went to drafting before we had the results of our latest study that showed we could replace all revenue generated by the current tax system with a rate of 8.97%. This rate will be proposed as an amendment by the sponsoring senator. Like other bills, it will be subject to senatorial input and possible modification. As citizens, you will have your opportunity to comment. We at EPIC appreciate any feedback you have!

“In short, when this (16th) amendment became part of the Constitution, in 1913, the absolute right of property in the United States was violated. That, of course, is the essence of socialism.”
